Construction began in October 2023. Canal 15 Bridge spans 30 meters, while Tan Vong Bridge stretches 46 meters. Each bridge has a width of 4 meters and a load capacity of 5 tons. The total project cost nearly VND3 billion. Notably, THACO contributed VND2.35 billion to support the development of new rural areas and bolster Tri Ton District's economic growth.
In his remarks at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Be Tam, the Chairman of Tri Ton District People's Committee acknowledged the district's unique challenges. As a mountainous, border district within An Giang Province, Tri Ton faces development difficulties. The district comprises 12 communes and 3 towns, bordering Cambodia along a 15.5-kilometer stretch. Despite recent efforts to mobilize resources and address residents' needs, limited capital restricts its ability to build bridges at key locations.
Speaking at the ceremony, Director of THACO AGRI An Giang Nguyen Van Nhut said: "THACO's sponsorship of the two bridges exemplifies our commitment to partnering with Tri Ton district in alleviating local challenges and empower the community. THACO aims to facilitate more convenient movement of people and goods, fostering trade development, hoping to contribute to a more stable quality of life for residents and a more robust local economy and society."
