THACO joins Lam Dong province's development plan conference
Da Lat City hosted a conference on June 23 to announce Lam Dong province's development plan for 2021-2030 with a vision for 2050. The conference also aimed to attract investment opportunities to the province.
Attending the conference were Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang, high-level representatives from government ministries, businesses, and investors. THACO President Pham Van Tai and THADICO President Nguyen Hoang Tue attended the program.
Lam Dong's plan outlines its transformation by 2030 into a well-developed province. At its heart, Da Lat City and its surroundings are envisioned as a premier tourist destination not only for Vietnam but for Southeast Asia. The city will also become a hub for education and innovation.
Focusing on sustainability and cutting-edge technology, Lam Dong plans to transform its agricultural sector into a highly efficient organic powerhouse. Large-scale specialized farms will be established, positioning the province as a national and international leader in organic agricultural research and production. By 2050, Lam Dong aspires to become a modern, centrally-run city – a model of green living, smart technology, and a place worth living.
During the conference, the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee presented investment approvals and certifications to 12 corporations, attracting over VND 125,000 billion in total pledged investment. Notably, THACO signed a memorandum of understanding for potential collaborations across various sectors, including transportation, infrastructure, commerce, tourism, real estate, mineral mining, industrial and agricultural production.
THACO recognizes Vietnam's Central Highlands, alongside Laos and Cambodia, as a key region for large-scale, mechanized planting material production. This focus on industrial agriculture creates an efficient agricultural value chain. By investing and collaborating in Lam Dong, THACO unlocks the region's full potential, driving its rapid, comprehensive, and sustainable development in the years to come.
