Forbes Vietnam implemented the rankings according to Forbes' assessment methods, calculating the contribution of the brands to the business performance of the enterprises. This method requires transparent financial data. The results showed that most of the most valuable brands were built 20 years ago. THACO was referred by Forbes Vietnam as a typical example: "Established in 1997, from an imported car business, after four years of operation and expansion into manufacturing and assembly of trucks, the company launched the lightweight trucks with Truong Hai brand. In 2003, the company constructed Chu Lai - Truong Hai auto manufacture and assembly factory, with a capacity of 25,000 units / year. In 2007, Truong Hai turned to a Corporation, with the chartered capital of 680 billion VND. In the same year, the company put into operation Truong Hai - KIA auto manufacture and assembly factory. In 2010, the company built Truong Hai - Mazda auto assembly factory. Currently, in addition to the assembly of the KIA, Mazda, and Peugeot passenger cars, Truong Hai manufactures THACO branded buses and trucks."
