Recently, at the conference on socioeconomic development, national defense and security in Southeastern Vietnam during 2020-30, vision to 2045, in the presence of the Prime Minister (PM), THACO and Binh Duong People's Committee signed an MoU on the construction of the Mechanics and Supporting Industries Industrial Park with the capital investment of VND26,000 billion (more than $1 billion). Accordingly, in 2023, THACO INDUSTRIES will start its project research, and Binh Duong People's Committee will support the investment procedures.

Binh Duong in particular and the southern key economic region in general have the advantages to build a mechanics and supporting industries industrial park, e.g. long-term production development, big business community, comprehensive infrastructure and land area as well as the support from the government.

Once operational, such industrial park in Binh Duong will serve not only the automotive production but also many other industrial fields. The park will help to solve the shortage of raw materials, save transportation time and costs, and create opportunities for businesses, especially SMEs, to strengthen cooperation, jointly develop the business community and participate in the global value chain.
