SEAISI 2024 delegation visits THACO Chu Lai Industrial Park
Following the SEAISI (South East Asia Iron and Steel Institute) Conference and Exhibition 2024, a delegation led by Mr. Dinh Quoc Thai, the Vietnam Steel Association (VSA) Chairman visited THACO Chu Lai Industrial Park on May 16. They were welcomed by Mr. Do Minh Tam, President of THACO INDUSTRIES.
The delegation received a comprehensive overview of THACO's and its Sub-holdings' development journey, production capabilities, and business areas. Particular focus was given to THACO INDUSTRIES' expertise in mechanical engineering and supporting industries.
THACO INDUSTRIES' Mechanical Complex churns out 200,000 tons of steel, steel structures, and precision mechanics annually, alongside 400,000 mechanical products. They also actively research and develop cutting-edge mechanical equipment, spare parts, and components, ensuring their offerings meet the evolving needs of both domestic and international markets. Their products are currently exported to 15 countries worldwide.
Mr. Do Minh Tam, THACO INDUSTRIES President said: "THACO INDUSTRIES is committed to sustainable steel production and business practices. To further this goal, we seek collaboration with the Vietnam Steel Association and other businesses. This partnership would focus on developing and supplying steel that aligns with market needs while adhering to our green development principles to achieve Net Zero emissions."
The VSA Chairman, Mr. Dinh Quoc Thai was thoroughly impressed by THACO Chu Lai's large-scale, multi-industry model and its production of high-quality products that meet international standards. He also expressed optimism for future collaboration between THACO and VSA member companies in steel production and processing for a stronger domestic steel industry.
On this occasion, the delegation toured THACO’s automobile and mechanical plants, and the Chu Lai Port.
