On 12 September 2016, in HCMC, on behalf of the Japanese auto manufacturer, Mr Yatsugi and Mr Taro - Director and Vice Director of Asia Pacific Mazda handed the Best Customer Service Award 2015 to Mazda Vietnam. Mr Bui Kim Kha - THACO Vice General Director, PC General Director received the award.

On 13 September 2016, at Melia Hotel - No. 44, Ly Thuong Kiet, Hanoi, Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers' Association (VAMA) held a press conference to introduce Vietnam Motor Show 2016 (VMS 2016). Participating in the conference were representatives of the members in VAMA Management Board, the brands taking part in the show, and nearly 100 press agencies across the country. On behalf of Truong Hai Auto Corporation, Mr Nguyen Mot - Communication Director, acting as the representative for VAMA Vice Director attended the program.

In August 2016, THACO sales tend to slightly drop, but still maintain the leading position with the total car sales of 9,218 vehicles, up 55% compared to last year, including 5,950 passenger cars and 3,268 commercial vehicles.

On 9 September 2016, in Hamlet 4, Phu Ngoc commune, Dinh Quan district, Dong Nai province, THACO joined with Division Union's Standing Committee to hold the ceremony to hand over the Youth house to unionist Nguyen Thi Thoai Huyen - from youth union of Dinh Quan Garment Corporation.
