Chu Lai Port exports first shipment of wood chips of Thanh Thanh Dat Company
Thanh Thanh Dat specializes in producing and exporting wood chips to Asian countries, with over 20 wood-processing factories across the country, including coastal Quang Nam province.
In the first shipment, 16,000 tons of wood chips were transported from Chu Lai port to Chinese Jinhai port by a Thanh Thanh Dat’s vessel.
As of now, the Vietnamese wood-chip company plans to export 20,000 to 30,000 tons monthly through Chu Lai port.
In 2021, its exports will mount to 50,000 tons per month, equivalent to a total of around 600,000 tons a year.
Conveniently situated in the heart of central Vietnam, with its improved capacity and service quality, fast cargo handling, reasonable ship clearance time, as well as competitive costs, Chu Lai port is an attractive terminal to goods importers and exporters.
Recently, the port has exported wood chips for different enterprises, handling more than 1,100 tons every 6 hours.
Appealing as it is, Chu Lai port has a lot to offer - upgraded loading/unloading equipment, conveyors, specialized container boxes, expanded and new warehouses on a widened area of 172,000 square meters, new IT technology in management and logistics services, finally forming a well-defined smart logistics platform as well as developing new services for customers.
