Deputy Minister of Science and Technology visits THACO Chu Lai Industrial Park
A delegation led by the Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Hoang Giang and representatives from the Center for Science and Technology Media Research and Development under the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) along with members of the press recently visited THACO Chu Lai Industrial Park. They were welcomed by Mr. Nguyen Quang Bao, President of THACO AUTO and leaders of THACO Sub-holdings at the industrial park.
During the meeting, THACO AUTO President Nguyen Quang Bao highlighted THACO's development journey, including its Sub-holdings. He emphasized THACO's commitment to research and application of science and technology in its production processes. He specifically acknowledged the MOST's support in its various research projects, which have been successfully implemented and delivered significant technological and economic value. Examples of these successful projects include "Designing and manufacturing Vietnamese premium sleeper buses" and "Automatizing the production of auto leaf springs to build smart factories."
THACO Chu Lai also fosters a culture of continuous improvement, with employees actively contributing initiatives and improvements that are implemented in production. In 2023 alone, over 3,500 such projects were implemented, leading to cost reduction, increased labor productivity, and improved production efficiency.
The Deputy Minister of MOST commended THACO's achievements in production, business, and science and technology application. He highlighted that the Group's investments not only bring economic benefits but also contribute to the country's overall scientific and technological development. The Deputy Minister particularly commended THACO's emphasis on employee initiative, improvement, and participation in production innovation. He expressed appreciation for its focus on technology transfer and product research and development activities. He expressed hope that THACO will continue to invest in research and application of science and technology, contributing positive societal impacts. He also encouraged continued collaboration with the MOST in communicating science and technology initiatives in the future.

During their visit, the delegation toured facilities encompassing car manufacturing and assembly, mechanical operations, spare parts and components production, and the Chu Lai Port.
