THILOGI becomes FMC member
THILOGI was granted membership in the US government's Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) on June 11, strengthening THILOGI's position in the international shipping industry.
The FMC, established in 1961 oversees regulations in international commercial shipping. Becoming its member allows THILOGI to operate as an intermediary carrier on the Vietnam-US trade route, issuing House Bills of Lading (HBLs) directly to the US and negotiating shipping costs with FMC-regulated shipping lines.
The commission requires foreign NVOCCs (Non-vessel operating common carrier) like THILOGI to demonstrate a financial guarantee of up to $150,000 and other stringent criteria. With only less than 160 out of thousands of Vietnamese transportation businesses achieving this distinction, THILOGI's FMC membership signifies its brand reputation, freight service capabilities, and strong financial standing.
THILOGI's FMC membership adds to its portfolio of international logistics affiliations. It is now part of three prestigious organizations, including the Federation of International Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA), the World Cargo Alliance (WCA), and the Vietnam Logistics Business Association (VLA).
