Koun Mom provides free education for Cambodian workers' children
Not only providing stable employment for over 6,200 workers, Koun Mom Complex demonstrates a strong commitment to their social well-being, particularly by prioritizing education for the children of Cambodian employees.
The complex recently partnered with local government and the Department of Education, Youth and Sports of Ratanakiri province to provide free educational opportunities for over 450 children of their employees, including 16 classes, from grades 1 through 4.
Beyond fostering a quality learning environment, Koun Mom further provides a well-rounded educational experience. They organize engaging extracurricular activities and ensure students have the necessary supplies by distributing textbooks, notebooks, pens, clothing, sandals, and even water bottles.
“Witnessing the joy from the students' faces is truly heartwarming. It is a testament to the dedication of the THACO AGRI and Koun Mom Complex leaderships, who prioritize the well-being of both workers and their families in Cambodia," shared Ms. San So Pha, a teacher at Lot 96, AD Banana Factory.
Chan Sopheap, a 4th grade student in Lot 3, AD Banana Factory expressed: "My teachers care so much about all of us and help us learn new things every day. Thanks to them, I've gotten so much better at reading and doing homework. Now, I can even help my younger siblings, which makes them happy and gives my parents peace of mind."
Koun Mom Complex offers its dedicated and experienced educators with a comprehensive benefits package that includes housing, gasoline support, health and social insurance, along with free utilities. This commitment allows them to focus on providing a quality education for their students.
