THILOGI leaders attend East - West Economic corridor high-level meeting
Last week, Sekong province in Laos hosted a high-level meeting focused on cooperation for the development of the East-West Economic corridor. Mr. Bui Minh Truc, THILOGI President was among the attendees.
Leaders from five localities across three countries participated in the conference. Representatives from Da Nang City and Quang Nam Province (Vietnam), Ubon Ratchathani Province (Thailand), and Champasak and Sekong Provinces (Laos) presented reports on promoting investment, trade, tourism, and connectivity along the corridor.
At the event, Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee, said: "The meeting presents a valuable opportunity to boost investment promotion, trade links, and tourism and service collaborations between participating nations. This cooperation will significantly contribute to the development of the East-West Economic Corridor, particularly its connection to Vietnam's Central Key Economic Region via the Nam Giang International Border Checkpoint. Sectors like forestry, tourism, and transportation stand to benefit greatly from this."
Quang Nam will prioritize securing Central Government investment for the expansion and upgrade of National Highway 14D. Additionally, the provincial party secretary proposed collaborative efforts with provinces along the corridor, including discussions to refine mechanisms and policies, aiming for smoother customs clearance, immigration processes at border gates, and ultimately, an environment that fosters investment, production, and business cooperation for enterprises.
THILOGI, a leading provider of comprehensive logistics solutions in Central Vietnam connecting southern Laos and northeastern Thailand, actively participated in the summit to leverage the insights gained on regional needs and potential, tailoring a proper development strategy, enhancing service quality, cross-border transportation, facilitating market access and attracting new customers.
