PORT CAPACITY

Chu Lai Port is a general port which can handle 4 million tons of throughput per year. The current berth is 471 meters long, -9.5 meters deep, and able to receive three 30,000-DWT vessels at a time. The port is heavily invested in terms of facilities, loading equipment (Liebherr cranes, wheel cranes, reach stackers, tug boats and high-capacity trailers…). The port yard has a total area of over 167,000 square meters, constructed in line with international standards and zoned into different functional areas (bonded warehouses, warehouses, cold storages, container yards) to fit every type of cargo.

PORT LOCATION

Chu Lai Port was built in Chu Lai Open Economic Zone, Quang Nam Province, a key economic zone in central VN with convenient traffic to connect with arterial routes, big industrial parks and border gates of countries along the East-West Economic Corridor.

THACO VESSELS

The port owns 2 vessels, Truong Hai Star2 (294TEUs) and Truong Hai Star3 (657TEUs), shipping on routes from Chu Lai to Ho Chi Minh, Hai Phong and vice versa.

DOMESTIC SHIPPING

Together with its own vessels, THILOGI partners with other domestic shipping lines to increase freight transport from Chu Lai to Hai Phong, Ho Chi Minh, Cai Mep (in Vung Tau) and vice versa, especially boosting transshipment from Chu Lai to other major ports Cai Mep, Lach Huyen (in Hai Phong).

INTERNATIONAL FREIGHT FORWARDING

THILOGI partners with big shipping lines LGL (the U.S.), CMA CGM (France), SITC (China), COSCO (China), ZIM (Israel) to increase international freight transport from Chu Lai to other ports in China, South Korea, Japan, India 5 times per week. The company continues to seek new international partners to Chu Lai Port to diversify its international shipping routes

UNLOADING FREIGHT

In 2022, THILOGI plans to unload and handle nearly 157,000 auto parts for factories and semi-trailer parts. The company is upgrading layout and automation technologies for the freight unloading line, assembly line, AGVs to handle the increasing volumes in years to come.
