THACO presents 100 scholarships at Dong Nai Newspaper’s 22nd scholarship award ceremony
On December 4, in Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai Newspaper held its 22nd annual scholarship award ceremony for the 2024-2025 academic year, sponsored by THACO. Mr. Le Huu Co, THACO Corporate Culture Vice Director presented scholarships to the students.
In his speech at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Son Hung, the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Vice Chairman, encouraged students to continue their efforts in studying and training to become role models in resilience and academic values. He stated, "The support from sponsors and partners not only spreads the spirit of community but also provides opportunities for students to access better education."
Among the scholarship recipients was Nguyen Hoang Thanh Duc, a 4th-grade student at Huynh Tan Phat Primary School (Phu Xuan Commune, Tan Phu District), who is a shining example of perseverance. Duc's family of four have been facing challenges, with his father suffering from a stroke and his mother being the sole breadwinner. Understanding his family's situation, Duc has always been diligent and hardworking. The scholarship has helped ease his mother's financial burden and motivated him to continue his education.
Speaking about the academic scholarship, Mr. Nguyen Mot, the THACO Corporate Culture and Communications Senior Director, said, "Education is a crucial foundation for building a sustainable society. In the future, THACO will continue to partner with Dong Nai Newspaper for the scholarships, seeking to help disadvantaged students realize their dreams and contribute to build a brighter future for the country."
Since 2001, the scholarship program by Dong Nai Newspaper has awarded over 2,700 scholarships worth more than VND4 billion in 22 seasons. This is the 15th year THACO has partnered with the program, aiming to support students in overcoming difficulties and confidently pursuing knowledge.
