On August 20, THACO Chu Lai held the opening ceremony for the "Connecting Strength - Connecting Success" Sports Festival 2025. This annual event aims to promote sports activities and strengthen team spirit among employees while spreading THACO's cultural values.

The festival runs from August 20 to September 21 and brings together top athletes from four teams: THACO AUTO Production-Business Division, THACO INDUSTRIES, THILOGI, and THACO Chu Lai Alliance. Players compete in football and volleyball events for both men and women.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Tran Nhat Quang, Vice Chairman of THACO Chu Lai Trade Union, said: "The successful THACO Chu Lai Sports Festival in 2024 was successful, creating a platform that united teams and created meaningful experiences for employees. We hope athletes will continue to give their best and showcase the dynamic and dedicated image of THACO Chu Lai employees who are ready to overcome challenges together."

Right after the ceremony, exciting opening football matches attracted large crowds of supporters. In the first match, THACO Chu Lai Alliance men's football team beat THILOGI 2-1 after intense play. After that, the THACO AUTO Production-Business Division team won convincingly 4-1 against THACO INDUSTRIES with diverse attacking play and good teamwork. In women's football, after a 1-1 tie in the first half, the THACO AUTO Production-Business Division increased pressure in the second half and won 3-1 against THACO INDUSTRIES.

After the match, Mr. Tran Thanh Phu, a player from THACO Chu Lai Alliance men's football team, said: "As defending champions from the 2024 season, the Alliance team enters this season determined to play our best, maintain team spirit to defend the title."

This year, volleyball is being held for the first time, creating excitement among athletes. Teams are actively training, refining tactics, and improving fitness to deliver exciting matches for spectators.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Vi Sa, a female volleyball player from THACO INDUSTRIES team, shared: "Joining the THACO INDUSTRIES women's volleyball team gives me a chance to improve my health and flexibility while gaining more competition experience. My teammates and I will give our all to bring youthful energy and enthusiasm to this year's festival."

During the festival, the THACO Chu Lai Half Marathon 2025 themed "Steady Steps Forward" takes place on September 21, attracting nearly 3,000 runners competing in 5km, 10km, and 21km distances. Mr. Trinh Minh Hoa from THACO KIA Plant said: "After my experience last season, I decided to register for the 21km distance to challenge myself and running with family and colleagues. With months of training, I believe I'll achieve good results in the upcoming race."
