THACO awards VND1 billion to Vietnam women's national soccer team at SEA Games 32
On May 23, at the awarding ceremony to recognize the triumphs of the Vietnam women's soccer teams (the national and the U22) at the 32nd SEA Games at Vietnam Football Federation hall, THACO presented VND1 billion to the national women soccer team, a SEA Games gold-medal winner.
After having a convincing win against Myanmar in the final match on May 15, the Vietnam women's national soccer team won the gold medal at SEA Games 32. This was their fourth time in a row to bring home the SEA Games gold medal.
To congratulate the team, right after the match had ended, THACO Chairman Tran Ba Duong offered to present them a sponsorship of VND1 billion to send heartfelt encouragements to the players, the coaches, and the team leaders who have strived hard to win pride for the Vietnamese sports.
As a well-established corporation in the country, THACO has been carrying out its social responsibilities by accompanying hundreds of meaningful social programs, spreading humanity and compassion in different walks of life with a total sponsorship amount worth more than VND2,500 billion over the years. Among those activities, THACO has always paid special attention to the national sports in general and to soccer in particular with practical sponsorships, e.g. giving cars to teams and donating financial funds to the Vietnam men's U23 team in the Asian U23 tournament, and acting as the main sponsor for Hoang Anh Gia Lai football club.
