THACO AUTO Production Division holds its Business and Management Plan Conference for 2024’s second half
On July 9, THACO AUTO's Production Division held a conference to outline operational and management plans for the second half of 2024. THACO Chairman Tran Ba Duong was in attendance and delivered a keynote address.
The conference reviewed the strategic, operational, and management plans for the second half of 2024 for THACO AUTO's production division, R&D center, and passenger car, truck, and bus manufacturing facilities. 2024 marks the second year of THACO AUTO's five-year strategic plan (2023-2027).
The Production Division will focus on R&D to develop a comprehensive product range tailored to domestic and export markets. Investments in technology and automation will enhance production capabilities. Integrated production processes will be optimized for multiple brands, quality, and scale. An effective digital transformation strategy will drive management, production, and quality control towards smart factory models. Cost and quality management remain key priorities.
The Production Division aims to cultivate a workforce characterized by positivity, competence, and innovation. A strong emphasis will be placed on training and developing automotive expertise and R&D capabilities. Additionally, the division will focus on developing strategic, industry-savvy leaders. A culture of continuous learning and value creation will be fostered among all employees to align with the Group’s production and business goals.
The THACO Chairman outlined the evolution of THACO AUTO's production division from basic assembly to advanced levels of localization, automation, and high-end product manufacturing. He emphasized the upcoming transition from assembly to full-scale manufacturing under the THACO brand. This transformation necessitates a strong focus on R&D and mastering the entire production process, from design to completion. The Chairman underscored the importance of a customer-centric, differentiated strategy, requiring in-depth market research and tailored product development to drive successful export initiatives.
In management, the Production Division requires a restructuring to prioritize R&D and facilitate collaboration with experienced foreign experts. The THACO Chairman emphasized the imperative of continuous change to drive business growth and human capital development. Employees must embrace a culture of adaptability, responsibility, and self-discipline to align with the Group's strategic vision.
