THACO attends Anh Duong Kindergarten kitchen's groundbreaking ceremony in Binh Phuoc Province
The ceremony was held on July 20 by the Red Cross Society of Binh Phuoc Province in Bu Khon village, Dak O commune, Bu Gia Map district.
The activity is part of the Vietnam Red Cross Society's Nutrition for Poor and Disabled Children program, in which THACO is one of the sponsors. The semi-boarding kitchen has a total cost of VND351 million, of which THACO donates VND270 million and QT General Service Trading Company Limited, a construction unit supports VND80 million.
Anh Duong Kindergarten was founded in 2016. Last year, the school had 328 children learning at 4 separate locations. Each location was far apart from each other and scattered in the village. At the school, minority children take up over 60% of the total students and many come from poor and near-poor families.
The Vietnam Red Cross Society's Nutrition for Poor and Disabled Children aims to provide more nutritional meals for 1 million disabled and disadvantaged children living in border, mountainous areas, and islands, etc. to help them grow physically and intellectually. In 2023, THACO has funded VND3 billion to the Vietnam Red Cross Society to rebuild and repair semi-boarding and boarding kitchens at kindergartens and primary schools in 9 provinces and cities nationwide.
