Central Vietnam Home Affairs Department delegation visits THACO Chu Lai Industrial Park
The delegates, led by Ms. Tran Thi Kim Hoa, Member of Quang Nam Party Committee, Director of Quang Nam Home Affairs Department visited THACO Chu Lai Industrial Park on July 14.
During the meeting, the guests listened to the development history of THACO and THACO Chu Lai Industrial Park, then visited the auto manufacturing, mechanical engineering and support industry factories and Chu Lai Port.
Ms. Tran Thi Kim Hoa was impressed at THACO's large-scale multi-industry model in Chu Lai. She said, “After the split into Quang Nam Province and Da Nang City in 1997, Quang Nam has faced many difficulties. In 2003, Chu Lai Open Economic Zone was established, the same year of THACO Chu Lai. Since then, THACO has made significant contributions to the socio-economic development of the central province. In 2022, the province collected tax reached more than VND33 trillion, ranking 11th out of 63 provinces and cities, among which THACO paid VND24.6 trillion, accounting 65% of the total amount. So to speak, THACO has been an important contributor in the province over the years. So I hope in near future, THACO and Quang Nam will continue to grow together and write up new success stories.”
In return, Mr. Doan Dat Ninh, the THACO AUTO Deputy President in charge of Production sent his thanks to the constant support from the local governments, especially the offices and departments in Quang Nam, including its Home Affairs Department, at the same time, and expressed the expectation to receive the province support in the future.
