Truong Hai exports 9 semi-trailers to Colombia market

This was the first batch of semi-trailers in the export contract to Colombia market and South America with the total value of 99,900 USD and the local content in the products of over 70%. In the contract, in 2017, THACO will continue to export over 100 semi-trailers of different kinds to markets in Africa and South America.

THACO semi-trailers are manufactured on modern technological lines with high automation level, equipment imported from Japan, Italy, South Korea, and product quality control system according to IATF 16949 international standards. The products have their quality strictly controlled in each phase of manufacture, meeting the specification of the export market, special design to lengthen or shorten semi-trailers, to fit the transport of 40 or 45 feet containers. Bodies of the semi-trailers are made from highly durable steel, their surface treated with blasting technology to increase adhesion to the coating, enhance resistance to corrosion and fatigue resistance. The goods volumes as per design are 55 tons for a 45-feet container and 60 tons for a 40-feet container.

Mr Pham Van Tai - THACO permanent Deputy General Director said: "To actively integrate when the free trade agreements are in force, in recent years, THACO has invested in developing auto manufacture, assembly and supporting industries towards increasing technological content and the localization rate, gradually realizing the strategy to participate in global value chains through the exports of auto products, parts, and components with international quality standards. Although the current export volume is not large, it will be a prerequisite for boosting exports in the future, contributing to implement the strategy to develop the auto industry in Vietnam and bring pride to the country".
