THACO President: "New production methods and technology save THACO over VND70 billion annually"
Vietnam's Ministry of Science and Technology held a combined celebration in Hanoi from May 15-16, marking the national Science and Technology Day, the Ministry's 65th anniversary, and the 2024 Ta Quang Buu Awards.
A high-profile audience attended the program, including the Prime Minister, leaders from various central and local government ministries and departments, international organizations, research institutes, businesses, and scientists. Notably, THACO's President addressed the program.
Under the theme "Science, Technology, and Innovation - Elevating the Nation," the ceremony celebrated 65 years of remarkable achievements in these fields. These advancements have left an indelible mark on Vietnam's key industries and sectors, serving as the bedrock and driving force for the country's sustainable progress. Mr. Pham Minh Chinh, the Prime Minister, addressing the gathering, acknowledged the commendable research undertaken despite challenges and lauded the tireless efforts to break down barriers and integrate Vietnamese science into the global arena.

The Prime Minister highlighted that developing human resources in science, technology, and innovation is one of three strategic breakthroughs identified in the 2021-2030 socio-economic development strategy. This policy prioritizes fostering a skilled workforce to drive Vietnam's rapid and sustainable development in the coming years.
THACO, a frontrunner in technology adoption, development, and innovation, has played a key role in Vietnam's economic and scientific advancement, particularly in the context of global economic integration and Industry 4.0. The event featured 15 booths showcasing cutting-edge research across various sectors, including defense, banking, agriculture, industry, transportation, and healthcare. THACO INDUSTRIES stood out by presenting their innovative TIAR-01 robot which boasts voice communication, on-demand navigation, information retrieval capabilities, and even functions as an advertising display and monitoring system.
