THACO’s sale volume in August accounts for 40% of VAMA market share
According to VAMA, the total sales volume of its members in August 2015 was at 16,019 vehicle, decreasing 9.4% compared to last month but increasing 45.7% compared to the same period of last year. Particularly, THACO’s sales volume in August reached 6,401 vehicles including 3,322 passenger cars and 3,079 commercial vehicles, increasing 87.4% compared to the same period of last year. The August marked an important breakthrough in THACO’s sales volume when has accounted for 40% of the VAMA market share for the first time.
Thanks to customers’ trust and love, Kia brand continued to reach a figure of 1,720 cars sold, and this is the only brand in the market achieving an increase in sales volume in comparison to last month. High sales volume and stable growth brought Kia to the second position in VAMA list. That stable growth was brought by such models as Kia Morning (785 cars sold ), K3 (332 cars), Rio (245 cars), and New Sorento (130 cars).
In terms of Mazda, this Japanese Brand gained a sales volume of 1,561 cars in August. Mazda’s best seller models included Mazda3 (369 cars), Mazda CX-5 (354 cars), Mazda BT-50 (347 cars), and Mazda2 (263 cars). In the first 8 months of 2015, Mazda sold 11,400 cars, increasing 126% compared to the same period of last year and that number is higher than its total sales volume in 2014, bringing Mazda the third place in VAMA list. With its stable sales volume and other positive signs, Mazda is confident to set its sales target in September of 17,000 cars.
Peugeot, the European Brand, also reached its own achievement with two models 3008 and 507 that were sold out. Peugeot’s sales volume in August was at 41 cars and its total sales volume in the first 8 months reached 300 cars, nearly 7 times higher than that of the same period of last year. With a wide range of products from sedan of medium and large size to hatchback version and an expanding showroom system, Peugeot is confident to conquer customers’ love in the coming time.
