THACO presents Road to Olympia Scholarship Q3 2024 in Thua Thien Hue province
“The obstacles I face at home have only made me more determined to excel in my studies. Education is my key to achieving a successful future and lifting my family out of poverty. My goal is to ensure their well-being and a better life." Those are the words said by Le Thi Xuan, an 11th grade student at An Luong Dong High School who received THACO's Road to Olympia Scholarship (Q3 2024).
THACO, in collaboration with Vietnam Television and the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Department of Education and Training, recently held a ceremony to award the Road to Olympia Scholarships for the Third Quarter of 2024. Ten deserving students from disadvantaged backgrounds who excel academically received these scholarships.
The ceremony welcomed distinguished guests including Mr. Nguyen Tan, Director of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Department of Education and Training, representatives from Vietnam Television, and local high school teachers and students. On behalf of THACO, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Son, President of THACO AUTO Thua Thien Hue, presented ten scholarships, each valued at VND 10 million, to the students.
Mr. Nguyen Tan said: "THACO's scholarships extend beyond financial support but serve as a message of encouragement from both parents and teachers, urging the students to continue on their educational journey and cultivate a lifelong love of learning."
“Despite the challenges we face, my mother's commitment to my education inspires me deeply. She's the driving force behind my dedication to my studies, and I'm determined to succeed and repay her sacrifices. I have always wanted to study medicine. That's my family's wish, too," Xuan confided.
THACO's scholarship program recognizes academic achievement by nurturing a generation of young talent who are not only skilled but also ethical and courageous. This program reflects THACO's deep commitment to supporting educational development throughout the country.
The Road to Olympia Scholarship Fund is a collaborative effort between Vietnam Television, THACO, and provincial Departments of Education and Training across Vietnam. Whenever a contestant from a particular province or city wins first place in the Road to Olympia's quarterly competition, that province receives ten scholarships worth VND 10 million each. These scholarships are awarded to students facing challenging circumstances who demonstrate a strong commitment to academic achievement. Following Vo Quang Phu Duc's impressive first-place win at the 2024 Road to Olympia Third Quarter competition, representing Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted, THACO stepped forward to award ten scholarships to students from disadvantaged backgrounds in Thua Thien Hue province. |
