At the ceremony, Danang University awarded and honored 14 students who achieved the department valedictorian and salutatorian at the member colleges and subsidiary units; each department valedictorian and salutatorian was awarded with 2 million VND, especially the university valedictorian additionally received a tablet. Also in the program, 20 scholarships have been awarded to the underprivileged freshmen achieving high results in the 2016 entrance examination, including 1 student receiving scholarship For a Bright Future valued 10 million VND, 19 students receiving scholarship Lifting freshmen's steps, each awarded of 3-4 million VND. On this occasion, the businesses in the province also had many rewards and gifts to the poor students who are good in their study.

The program Lifting freshmen's steps with various contents provided the chance to the students to interact with the enterprises to help them learn the experience, orient their study, training and skill development, get ready for their entrepreneurship right from the freshman year. This was the second time that THACO accompanied with the program as a Gold sponsor to encourage the poor students try harder in their study and life.
