THACO sponsors the 30th anniversary of University of Danang
From October 12 to November 16, the University of Danang (UDN) is hosting a series of events to celebrate its 30th anniversary (1994 - 2024). THACO is the main sponsor of the program.
The series includes activities such as the UDN Youth Creativity Festival, seminars on sustainable university development and high-quality human resource training, lecturers and leaders’ reunions, the anniversary ceremony, and an art program.
The anniversary ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Kim Son, Minister of Education and Training; Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee; Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee; along with representatives from various ministries, central and local agencies, diplomatic missions, international organizations, and generations of teachers who have worked at UDN.
In his speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu, Director of the University of Danang, stated, "UDN has trained and provided a large number of leaders, managers, experts, scientists, educators, entrepreneurs, and technology engineers in key business areas, contributing to the national socio-economic development. Many UDN alumni hold leadership positions in government agencies, such as Mr. Phan Thang An, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Commission; and Mr. Ha Ban, former Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, former Deputy Head of the Central Organization Commission."
Embracing a strategy to develop high-quality human resources, UDN has become a reputable training institution for businesses, including THACO. As a multi-disciplinary training unit, especially in high-tech and core technology fields, the university has been providing quality staff for THACO. Nearly 2,000 UDN graduates are working at THACO Chu Lai Industrial Park, many of whom hold important positions in factories and units, contributing significantly to the Group's development.
Over the years, THACO has collaborated with UDN and its member schools to implement various practical programs and activities such as scientific research, technology transfer, human resource training, internships, and post-graduation recruitment, as well as equipment sponsorship. In the future, THACO will continue to strengthen its connection and cooperation with UDN in training activities, contributing to improving labor quality in Central Vietnam and Central Highlands regions.
Over 30 years of establishment, UDN has become a key national training unit, actively contributing to the country's educational and training reform. To date, UDN comprises six member universities, three affiliated units, and various research and technology transfer institutes and centers. The university currently has nearly 2,600 staff and lecturers, with nearly 50% holding doctoral degrees. Its training system includes 136 undergraduate programs, 48 master's programs, and 32 doctoral programs, making it one of the largest institutions in the country with 65,000 students and trainees. |
