Car sales during the first 3 months of 2017 increase 7% over the same period in 2016

THACO's commercial vehicles made a new highlight in March with the sales of over 5,000 vehicles. Cumulatively in the first 3 months of 2017, the sales were 10,646 vehicles, up 7% compared with 2016. With its appreciation for and constant improvement of service values, THACO has earned customers' trust in the commercial vehicles in each segment including THACO Frontier (diesel lightweight trucks), THACO Foton Auman (heavy trucks), and buses.

Especially, recently, THACO also introduced the whole new Hyundai Solati minibus to meet the increasing and diverse customer demands.

Passenger car sales in the first 3 months of 2017 reached over 13,000 cars.

According to VAMA statistics, 4,451 passenger cars were sold in March. Overall in the first quarter of 2017, the car sales were 13,057 cars, 9% lower than last year.

In the first quarter this year, over 6,000 KIA cars were sold. Contributing to these sales were 6 best-selling cars such as 2,558 Morning cars, 1,183 Cerato cars, 900 Rio cars, 450 Sorento cars, 365 Sedona cars, and 350 Rondo cars.

The Japanese Mazda cars achieved the same growth with 2,365 cars sold in March and 6,892 cars in the first 3 months of 2017, increasing 0.9% over the same period. Leading the list of the best-selling Mazda cars in Vietnam are Mazda3 with 977 cars sold, CX-5 with 613 cars, and Mazda6 with 276 car purchases.

In the first three months, Peugeot brand has made some success with 67 cars sold. Owning diverse car range, Peugeot is gradually earning the popularity in Vietnam.

Only in the first 3 months of the year, THACO has reached the sales of 23,703 cars. With such positive result, THACO is confident in reaching its aim of over 100,000 vehicles this year and maintaining the top position in Vietnam auto market.
