Attending the meeting were Chairman Tran Ba Duong, Permanent Vice Chairman Nguyen Hung Minh, CEO Pham Van Tai and division leaders, supervisory board, THACO board members, THACO management, and staff of THACO headquarters, PC, CV, Automobile Retail Division and Dai Quang Minh Corporation.

The conference was held to set new targets in THACO's automotive manufacturing and business strategy under the new structure for car distribution and management, thereby enhancing the management capability and performance of THACO branches. In addition, the participants were briefed about marketing plans for PC, CV and the Automobile Retail Division in the last 6 months of the year.

The participants heard CEO Pham Van Tai talk about THACO's production-business strategy, while division leaders presented the strategy and plan for business and distribution for passenger cars and commercial vehicles as well as spare part service management plan, management strategy and operation of THACO Auto Retail Division.

THACO Chairman Tran Ba Duong also delivered his speech at the conference. He noted that in 2018, the automotive market would witness tougher competitions. To remain competitive, companies had to be distinguished and create their own advantages, and this was the reason why THACO had been making great efforts to restructure its car distribution and retail system. The HCM City-based automaker’s important tasks in 2018 include establishing a thorough governance system from the company’s headquarters to its branches as well as setting out common procedures and regulations for effective operation.

Furthermore, THACO management must perform systematic management, promoting creativity and activeness at branches to implement such management at divisions and branches. As the company growth is not limited, leaders must also develop unlimitedly. Chairman Tran Ba Duong also required all to engage in improving working attitudes, ethics and expertise to become real leaders. He also encouraged staff to try their utmost in skill training and corporate management to move up on the career ladder.
