In the program, the National Traffic Safety Committee emphasized the important role of Gold Steering Wheel Award in raising awareness of individuals and organizations’ responsibilities in the observance of the traffic rules; at the same time, the award also honors the drivers and enterprises having contributions in the work of ensuring traffic order and safety in all parts of the country. Embracing the meaning of the program, THACO acts as the main sponsor for Gold Steering Wheel award from 2015 to 2018 as well as works closely with the National Road Safety Committee in action programs on road safety nationwide.

Following the "Joint Program to ensure traffic order and safety period 2016 - 2018" which was signed between THACO and the National Traffic Safety Committee in January 2016, at the ceremony, THACO donated 02 Kia Sorento cars and 02 Mazda BT-50 cars with the total value over 3.3 billion dong in order to improve the operational efficiency of the committee in communicating and popularizing traffic laws. Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen Hung Minh - THACO President said: "THACO will continue developing its production and business to accompany the State agencies and related departments in the implementation of the traffic safety solutions in order to reduce traffic accidents, and contribute to build the Vietnam traffic culture".
