THACO INDUSTRIES and THACO AUTO were present at the Danang Innovation Startup Festival (SURF 2024) in September. The event, with the theme "Reaching Creativity - Connecting the World," was organized by the Danang City’s Science and Technology Department and Danang University. It attracted a wide range of participants, including government agencies, domestic and international partners, universities, startup support organizations, investors, and startups.

The festival was to promote the growth of the innovation and startup ecosystem. It aimed to create strong connections between the various elements within the ecosystem, such as startups, investors, and support organizations. The festival also provided a platform for startups to expand network, seek business opportunities, showcase their projects and technologies, and attract investment and talent.

THACO AUTO and THACO INDUSTRIES present products through virtual reality technology

The festival offered a variety of exciting events, including a startup competition with 30 participating teams, the launch of the Danang-Singapore Innovation Space, pitch sessions for startups to present their ideas and seek investment, scientific seminars on innovation and startup development, and a virtual reality exhibition with the participation of nearly 100 startups.

With the theme "Creating fundamental values, pioneering innovation," THACO INDUSTRIES presented its Tiar-01 robot at the exhibition. Developed by THACO INDUSTRIES R&D Center, the robot is equipped with advanced features such as a facial expression screen, a camera for scanning products codes and prices and recording images, a 3D camera for object identification, and a Lidar sensor for navigation. Powered by artificial intelligence, the robot can interact with customers through voice or touch and provide information and assistance.

A visitor is experiencing BMW cars using VR glasses

At THACO AUTO's booth, visitors had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of BMW cars through virtual reality (VR) technology. Using VR glasses, they could explore the exterior and interior of BMW models, simulating a test drive and gaining a realistic understanding of the car's features and utilities. This innovative approach is already being used at THACO AUTO's BMW showrooms in Da Nang to enhance the customer experience and drive sales.

With their impressive offerings, the booths of THACO INDUSTRIES and THACO AUTO attracted a large number of visitors who were eager to learn more and experience them firsthand. By participating in SURF 2024, the two Groups aimed to promote their products, demonstrate their scale and production capacity, and establish connections with domestic and foreign businesses and partners.
