During the plant launch, THACO signed deals with its Thai, Taiwanese, Philippine and Cambodian partners to export 1,150 buses to the markets, including tourist buses, employee shuttles, and city buses. Of these, 750 buses are for Thailand, 100 for Taiwan, 200 for Philippines, and another 100 for Cambodia.

Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung acknowledged and praised THACO’s past achievements and congratulated THACO on the inauguration of the new Bus Thaco Plant and the launch of the all-new buses designed and developed by THACO. "THACO's mastery of technology, bus production lines, and other automotive products have contributed significantly to the implementation of the Government's automotive industry development strategy, contributing to the socio-economic development of Quang Nam and the Central Region", said the Deputy Prime Minister.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman Tran Ba Duong said that the plant inauguration was a testament to the success of the Vietnamese automobile industry. “Although the domestic market is still small and the Vietnamese auto industry is still at a young age, the Government's proper policy and enterprises' efforts can still help us stay competitive in the regional market and in the context of integration. On the other hand, high localization rate and good export turnover will be able to fight trade deficit and improve the trade balance in Vietnam's automobile industry,” he said.
