 At the conference, General Director Nguyen Hung Minh emphasized THACO's vision of becoming a "multi-disciplinary industry group in Vietnam" as well as important strategies for developing the automotive-mechanics industry, agricultural industrialization, logistics, retail and transport infrastructure development in urban & industrial zones. In addition, the CEO also outlined the direction of governance in business, corporate governance and professionalism governance. Based on that basis, he pointed out the specific plan for personnel orientation, training, financial accounting, communication and culture, information technology, marketing, planning, administration, legal and internal supervision.

The conference also listened to the business strategies and business plans of 2017-2018 for commercial vehicles and passenger cars. Accordingly, Mr Mai Phuoc Nghe, Deputy General Director of Commercial Vehicles, pointed out that the commercial vehicle business vision for trucks is diversified in terms of vehicle weights and segments suitable for all types of customers. Regarding buses, we are the pioneer to create comfortable products in line with the modern transportation culture and at the same time aiming at the mission of "supplying means of transport in response to customer demands; Suitable functions; Effective business; Convenient and timely after-sales service."

Regarding passenger cars, Mr Bui Kim Kha - Deputy General Director of Passenger Cars put forward the vision and philosophy of passenger car business of "Provide products and services to meet the needs of each customer" and "Provide passenger car products and services based on values added to customers". The focus is on ensuring the sales and market share of the Kia, Mazda and Peugeot passenger car brands based on the CKD assembly strategy in Vietnam with large sales volumes ready for the regional integration. In particular, it is necessary to improve the quality of after-sales and customer care services as well as to focus on positioning Kia, Mazda and Peugeot brands based on specific products.

In respect of car retail activities, for the orientation in 2017, Ms Nguyen Thien My - Deputy General Director detailed three main issues: 2017 strategy - plan of automobile retail, management model of retail division and provincial branches, the project to improve management capacity and performance of provincial branches.

Speaking at the conference, Chairman Tran Ba Duong shared five key points including: philosophy, strategy, governance, personnel and working environment. Along with the transition towards digital technology, the Chairman requested everyone to be ready to change and see that change an opportunity for themselves and the company. From the achievements obtained, along with the available resources, he believed that if we can catch up with the trends, the Company will continue to grow strong in the future.
