THACO Finances big to aid the needy before Lunar New Year
Of the funding, VND5 billion of Dai Quang Minh Real Estate Corporation (a member company of THACO) went to Ho Chi Minh City. Meanwhile, Hanoi Capital received another VND5 billion, and other provinces received VND500 million to VND2 billion each.

Over the past years, THACO has actively engaged in numerous CSR activities, including blood donation with over 2 thousand blood units every year, fund raising for the floods victims in the central and northern Vietnam in 2017 the amount of VND3.5 billion, and raising about VND10 billion in sponsorship to the company’s "For the Needy" fund annually.
In addition, THACO has supported another VND15 billion to the traffic-related event of the National Safety Traffic Committee: "The Golden Steering Wheel" Awards which receives great support from Vietnamese drivers and has made positive impacts in encouraging safe driving among the community.
On the other hand, the Corporation also supports Dong Nai Province's annual "Overcoming Challenges for Brighter Future" scholarships, a contribution of VND200 billion for Start-up Nation fund, and offers financial support for Road to Olympia TV show in raising young academic talents. Most recently, the Corporation has funded a sponsorship of VND38 billion to the inspirational WeChoice Awards...

In creating opportunities for participation and competition in sports for athletes, apart from co-organizing Tien Phong - THACO Super Cup (the football match between the V-League champions and the National Cup winners), the Corporation also supports yearly VND2 billion to the Vietnam Athletic Association. Most recently, THACO rewarded VND1 billion to Vietnam U23 Football team and a KIA Optima sedan to Vietnam U23 Coach Mr. Park Hang-seo (the car presentation ceremony is scheduled on February 8, 2018 in Hanoi).

Mr. Nguyen Mot - THACO Communications Director, said: "Embracing THACO’s mission: "A multi-industry group offers values to customers and the society, and makes substantial contributions to the Vietnamese economy", in addition to the submission of over VND15 trillion to the national budget, THACO will continue the promotion of its over-10-year-old CSR activities in the long term.


THACO is a Vietnamese private auto manufacturer and trader that earns the biggest market share - 35.8% in the domestic market. THACO's 2017 total sales were 89,602 personal cars (Kia, Mazda, and Peugeot) and commercial vehicles. Its revenue for the year reached VND55,261 billion, contributing VND14,973 billion to the national budget which included VND12,372 billion to Quang Nam Province. THACO operates 29 factories and companies on an area of 500 ha in Chu Lai Complex, employing 18,000 labourers. Meanwhile, 60,000 others are working in THACO's manufacturing lines and logistics services.
In 2017, THACO started the construction of Mazda car manufacturing and assembling plant, inaugurated THACO Bus Plant with an annual capacity of 20,000 buses, considered the largest bus factory in Southeast Asia with the brand positioning message: Modern technology and environmental friendliness. THACO started operations at its agricultural machinery manufacturing plant. THACO has been developing other support industry plants, and the export value of vehicle components reached USD6.3 million in 2017. In 2018, THACO will launch the biggest and most advanced Mazda manufacturing and assembling plant in South East Asia to manufacture Mazda cars for both the domestic market and regional countries.
