THACO exceeds 50,000 units sales in first half of 2018

Its June passenger car sales reached 5,458 units, including 2,354 KIA cars. In the first 6 months of 2018, Kia Vietnam sold nearly 14,000 units, an increase of 11.2% over a year ago.

Mazda still maintained steady growth in Vietnam with 2,681 vehicles sold in June. During the first half of 2018, THACO sold 16,500 Mazda vehicles, bringing the total sales of Mazda vehicles to 100,000 since its official distribution in Vietnam. This has turned Mazda into the second-ranking Japanese car brand in the market in terms of sales.

With the flagship 3008 and 5008 SUVs, French Peugeot continued to report strong growth with 423 units sold in June, totaling 2,025 vehicles in the first 6 months of the year.

In addition to the sales of 32,308 vehicles in 2018, THACO passenger cars have made a strong impression on Vietnamese consumers when car models such as Morning, Mazda3, Mazda CX-5, and Kia Cerato consecutively stand among the top 10 best-selling models in Vietnam.

Additionally, THACO sold 2,501 commercial vehicles last month, totalling 18,089 vehicles since the beginning of this year, including 17,009 trucks and 1,080 buses.

With the investment and cooperation with foreign partners, concentration on quality improvements to produce new products in different segments to meet customers’ needs, THACO commercial vehicles gradually affirm the position in the Vietnamese automobile market in general and commercial vehicles in particular.
