THACO DONATES 19 BRIDGES TO MEKONG DELTA’S LONG AN PROVINCE
The sponsorship includes 7 bridges in Vinh Hung District, 1 in Thanh Hoa District, 3 in Moc Hoa District, 5 for Tan Hung District, and the remaining 3 for Kien Tuong Town.
In the morning of June 26, the Nong Thon Viet Magazine - Voice of the Vietnam Agri and Rural Development Association joined hands with Vinh Hung district People's Committee to hold the inauguration ceremony and handover of 11 rural bridges in Vinh Hung District. In particular, 7 bridges are built with the sponsorship of THACO.

At the ceremony, THACO Chairman Tran Ba Duong emphasized: "The idea behind the implementation of the rural bridge program, especially in the border districts not only in Long An but in other provinces holds a significant and strategic meaning. Never have I seen such a philanthropic program that is as synchronously strategic and contributive to the locality’s development and change, as well as delivering real values to people. As soon as these bridges are operated, agricultural supplies costs will be lower while agricultural products will be sold at better prices. Especially, it will be much easier for local students and people to travel around."

As another part of the program, THACO handed 100 gifts of essential goods and food (totalling VND50 million) to local poverty-stricken households. On this occasion, the Vietnamese auto maker received a certificate of merit awarded by the Chairman of Long An People's Committee to recognize the company’s help with the development of rural transport in Vinh Hung District in 2018.

Acknowledging the current weak bridges in Vinh Hung as well as in response to the calling for more support of the district’ Party Secretary, Mr. Tran Ba Duong agreed to finance two other bridges.
