THACO donates 126 trucks for Covid-19 vaccine transport and mobile vaccination

THACO Chairman Tran Ba Duong introduces vaccine trucks to Vietnam's Prime Minister
Facing the rising number of pandemic outbreaks, Ho Chi Minh City and different provinces in southern Vietnam have imposed Directive 16 for social distancing, and vaccination is now the most effective and urgent prevention measure that needs to be done immediately.

In response to the State's call for support in the national Covid-19 vaccination campaign, THACO has donated 126 vehicles, including 63 trucks to transport vaccines and 63 trucks for mobile vaccination and virus testing. The donation is worth a total value of VND150 billion VND (over USD6.5 million).
In a short span of time, THACO has managed to design and manufacture 126 trucks to support the vaccine program timely.
The vaccine trucks, Mitsubishi Fuso Canter are assembled from the production lines which have received technology transferred from Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Corporation with a local content rate of over 50 percent. The products made from the line are traded in Vietnam and ASEAN countries (Thailand, the Philippines, etc.) under the Japanese brand Mitsubishi Fuso which is owned by Daimler AG from Germany.
Mitsubishi Fuso Canter vehicles are sold at standardized Fuso dealerships across Vietnam, which incorporate modern service centers to best meet customer needs by offering most convenience in vehicle maintenance and repair and spare parts supply.
