THACO expands investments with nearly 15,000 new hires
THACO plans to recruit 14,746 employees, bringing the total headcount to 65,520 by the end of the year. With a focus on the Agriculture, Mechanics and Supporting Industries, and Service Commerce sectors, THACO's Sub-holdings will recruit 14,685 employees as part of the holding corporation's overall plan.
Investments in new projects
In 2024, THACO's Sub-holdings will prioritize both active investment and recruitment of talent to support their strategic goals. This involves executing new projects domestically and internationally while simultaneously bolstering their workforce.
In 2024, THACO AGRI is making a significant investment of VND 5,800 billion to construct large-scale, integrated and circular organic agricultural complexes across various locations: 1 in Vietnam's Central Highlands, 2 in Cambodia, and 1 in Laos. These complexes will be dedicated to producing a stable supply of high-quality organic products.
By the end of 2024, THACO AGRI is aiming for expanding banana cultivation to over 11,600 hectares, establishing over 7,100 hectares of fruit trees combined with cattle farming, and increasing its cattle herd size to over 151,500 heads and pig herd size to over 136,600 heads. Additionally, THACO AGRI plans to achieve an animal feed output of 120,000 tons. Furthermore, the company is actively developing a high-value freshwater fish farming project, which involves completing fish hatcheries and mass raising meat fish.
THACO AGRI is prioritizing the development of industrial production within its agricultural complexes by completing the infrastructure for industrial clusters within these complexes. Additionally, key factories will be operational this year, including those specializing in the manufacturing of agricultural equipment, tools, and machines, packaging, and plastic materials. Furthermore, THACO AGRI is committed to research and investment in a new generation breeding center, applying cutting-edge science, technology, and specialized mechanics in its agricultural production.
To fulfill its planned targets, THACO AGRI is actively recruiting an additional 12,600 employees, bringing the total headcount to 34,300 by the end of this year. Notably, THACO AGRI is focusing its recruitment efforts on workers in Laos, Cambodia, and foreign technical personnel with expertise in cultivation and livestock production.
THACO INDUSTRIES is making a significant push in the field of Mechanics and Supporting Industry, committing VND 2.1 billion to various strategic initiatives, including research and expansion of spare parts manufacturing factories in Northern Vietnam, establishing a Mechanics and Supporting Industries Center in the South, setting up a dedicated R&D Center in Chu Lai, forming a company in the US to tap into the vast North American market (encompassing the US, Canada, and Mexico), and opening representative offices in Europe and Australia to support existing customers and expand their market reach in these key regions.
THACO INDUSTRIES is expecting a strong financial performance in 2024, with projected consolidated revenue of VND 13,000 billion. This includes export revenue of $250 million. To support this growth plan, THACO INDUSTRIES has recruited an additional 980 employees, primarily engineers for their R&D Center, bringing their total workforce to 8,620 employees.
In the Commerce and Service sector, THISO is focused on continued expansion with the ongoing operation of phase 2 of THISO Mall Truong Chinh - Phan Huy Ich. Additionally, construction and completion of the first THISO Mall Tay Ho Tay in Hanoi, Bien Hoa (Dong Nai Province), and the 4th shopping center in Ho Chi Minh City are planned for early 2025. To support this growth, THISO is recruiting an additional 414 new members this year.
In addition to the above, THACO Chu Lai Industrial Park is prioritizing the implementation of transportation infrastructure projects, industrial park development, and urban area construction this year, with a total investment of VND 3,894 billion. THACO's Sub-holdings are also actively implementing and completing key projects, further bolstering their development needs by recruiting nearly 600 new employees.
