The aid included medical equipment and products for Quang Nam province and Danang City, VND5 billion each. The Group also presented 2,000 SARS-CoV-2 testing kits worth more than VND1 billion for Hue Central Hospital.

In March 2020, THACO handed over VND10 billion to Vietnam’s COVID-19 Preparedness and Response Fund, a VND2.3 billion extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) machine to Cho Ray Hospital and a patient monitoring system with 6 screens (over VND1.36 billion) to Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ho Chi Minh City.

Up to now, THACO’s funding for the pandemic fight has totaled nearly VND25 billion.

Apart from the community assistance efforts, the company has also carried out preventive measures at its offices across the country.

The measures include providing disinfectants at the offices, requiring everyone to wear masks at work, measuring body temperature for employees and customers, and arranging different lunch times to reduce crowds. Besides, staff members are required to make weekly online medical declarations.

At its THACO Chu Lai IP in Quang Nam province, all units were sprayed with disinfectants on August 2. The shuttle buses carrying more than 3,000 employees every day are disinfected before and after each trip. Meanwhile, employees who cannot come to the company due to epidemic exposure reasons can work from home and are entitled to specific company policies.
