THACO Bus is back to work


Fire broke out inside THACO Bus plant which manufactures buses and coaches in Chu Lai - Truong Hai Auto Mechanics Industrial Park at 17:50 on 2 February. Approximately at 21:00 of the same day, the fire basically was under control. About 30 vehicles rushed to the scene, including 25 firefighting trucks.

Investigating departments of Quang Nam Police, Criminal Science Institute - Ministry of Public Security (in Da Nang city) and related forces have stepped in to examine the scene. After that, they returned the plant to the company for recovery. On early 12 February, employees were back to work after 9 days since the incident.
The fire at THACO Bus is estimated to cause the damage around 250 billion VND. Currently, the insurance company is working to provide the exact damage in the coming time.

Mr Dinh Van Thu, Chairman of Quang Nam People's Committee, highly appreciated THACO's damage recovery rapidity: "I was there when the fire occurred. Today (12 February), I come back to see the recovery is such a miracle".


Mr Thu stated that Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh take great interest in this accident, who have sent directions to support the plant recovery and investigate the causes to bring back the plant. The quick recovery of THACO Bus plant has proved the excellence in the company management.
