THACO: Balancing corporate growth with social responsibility
For nearly 28 years, THACO has remained steadfast in its pursuit of sustainable development, ensuring that business operations align closely with social responsibility. Success, for THACO, is not solely measured by revenue or profit but by the meaningful impact it has on communities and the country.

In his 2025 Message, THACO Chairman Tran Ba Duong emphasized that social responsibility would be a core focus for the year. The company aims to further its commitments through expanded programs in education, culture, and sports sponsorships, alongside long-term and consistent initiatives to support communities and social welfare.

On April 16, at the Presidential Palace in Hanoi, THACO President Pham Van Tai met with Vietnam’s President Luong Cuong and 100 individuals participating in the “Acts of Kindness” program. THACO has been a key supporter of the program over seven consecutive seasons in the past decade, helping amplify inspirational stories and fostering compassion and positive action within communities.
“Every act of kindness, no matter how big or small, has the power to generate positive effects, inspiring and spreading goodwill in society,” said THACO President Pham Van Tai. “The ‘Acts of Kindness’ program brings heartfelt, relatable emotions to audiences, reinforcing the belief that, regardless of circumstances, kindness remains an intrinsic part of Vietnamese cultural identity.”

In commemoration of Vietnam's 50th reunification anniversary (April 30, 1975), THACO has provided 14 THACO Linker trucks and 18 drivers for the Ho Chi Minh City military parade. This support demonstrates not only logistical assistance but also patriotism, national pride, and THACO's dedication to joining the Government in celebrating key historical events.

For the 2025 "Beauty of the Crescent Moon" event this April, THACO joined the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union in commemorating Vietnam's Disability Day (April 18, 1998). This program honors women with disabilities who have shown remarkable resilience in facing challenges while making valuable contributions to society.

At the event, Mr. Nguyen Mot, THACO Corporate Culture & Communication Advisor Senior Director, expressed, “THACO participates in this initiative with genuine solidarity—providing material assistance while also expressing deep empathy and respect for these individuals' exceptional determination. We view our involvement as both a responsibility and a privilege, finding fulfillment in helping highlight lives that, while facing challenges, radiate remarkable strength and inspiration.”
Starting in 2024, THACO pledged approximately $60,000 to fund the initiative from 2024 to 2028, demonstrating its long-term commitment both financially and emotionally to empowering women who rise above hardship.

Previously, THACO, through Mr. Do Minh Tam, THACO INDUSTRIES President, had contributed $12,000 to the Quang Nam Association for People with Disabilities, Children's Rights, and Underprivileged Patients. This donation will fund heart surgeries for children from disadvantaged families. THACO has provided $60,000 for medical support since 2019, enabling timely treatment that improves children's health outcomes and empowers them to continue their education and pursue their dreams.

Since its establishment, THACO has allocated more than $120 million toward social welfare, scientific research, healthcare, education, sports, and traffic safety initiatives. In 2024 alone, the company launched numerous sponsorship programs totaling over $8 million, aimed at improving lives and fostering aspirations among thousands of Vietnamese citizens, students, and underprivileged individuals.
Each year, THACO supports the “For the Needy” Fund, funds the construction of charity houses, and contributes to the “Eliminating Dilapidated Housing” program in several provinces.
