On November 8, THACO AUTO organized the BMW Golf Cup - National Final 2025 Vietnam at Tan Son Nhat Golf Course in Ho Chi Minh City. The event gathered BMW enthusiasts and golfers, promoting sportsmanship.

Established in 1982, the BMW Golf Cup is one of the world's largest tournaments for amateur golfers, attracting over 100,000 golfers from 40 countries and territories annually. Only the best 350 golfers will advance to the World Final.

Vietnamese golfers recently have made their mark at the world finals. In 2023, Tran Dieu Tuan, Nguyen Anh Tuan, and Tran Huong Ha secured runner-up positions with 278 points. In 2024, Nguyen Thi Quynh Nhu, Ta Quang Duong, and Trinh Son Tung defeated over 250 golfers from 35 countries to win the championship with 302 points, marking Vietnam's first-ever victory in this prestigious amateur golf tournament.

Becoming the Vietnam champion and earning a spot at the World Final is a dream for every BMW owner. Applying the "Once in a lifetime" principle, golfers who have participated in previous World Finals from 2016-2024 are not qualified for the 2025 World Final, opening chances for new golfers. Only golfers who own BMW vehicles distributed by THACO AUTO are eligible to compete.

Using Stableford scoring, the tournament calculates points based on strokes per hole rather than total strokes after completing 18 holes. The tournament has three categories: Men's Group A (Handicap 0-12), Men's Group B (Handicap 13-24), and Women's Group C (Handicap 0-36). Each group selects the top three golfers with the highest scores. The champions of three groups will represent Vietnam to compete at the BMW Golf Cup 2025 World Final in South Africa in early 2026.

After an exciting day of competition, the BMW Golf Cup - National Final 2025 Vietnam crowned three champions:

  • Men’s Group A (Handicap 0-12): Le Huu Phuoc
  • Men’s Group B (Handicap 13-24): Le Ngoc Bao Khang
  • Women's Group C (Handicap 0-36): Mai Thi Trang

Technical prize winners this year

This year, the tournament’s Hole-in-One prizes total nearly 9 billion VND. The rewards are a top-of-the-line BMW X6 SAC and a luxury BMW 5 Series sedan. Additionally, individual prizes including first, second, and third place in each group and technical awards (4 Near Pin prizes, 2 Longest Drive prizes, and 1 Near Line prize) include trophies and gifts from BMW and sponsors.

Beyond the competition, THACO AUTO and BMW also displayed premium BMW models at the event. The tournament also featured interactive activities from sponsors, and a "Lucky Draw" game at the Gala Dinner which provided valuable prizes.
