THACO AUTO organizes BMW Golf Cup – National Final 2024 Vietnam

On November 9, the BMW Golf Cup – National Final 2024 Vietnam was organized by THACO AUTO in partnership with BMW at the Tan Son Nhat Golf Course in Ho Chi Minh City. The event aimed to bring together enthusiasts of the luxury BMW brand and the sport of golf.

The event saw the participation of notable figures such as Mr. Lars Nielsen, Managing Director of BMW Group Asia; Mr. Nguyen Mot, THACO Corporate Culture and Communication Senior Director; Mr. Dam Dinh Thong, THACO AUTO Passenger Car Vice President; representatives from the Ho Chi Minh City Golf Association; and past champions of the BMW Golf Cup from 2019 and 2023.

The tournament drew over 140 golfers, who were divided into groups A, B, and C. Scoring was conducted using the Stableford format, which awards points based on the number of strokes taken at each hole, rather than the total strokes over 18 holes.

The tournament concluded with the selection of three exceptional golfers to represent Vietnam at the BMW Golf Cup - World Final 2024 in Thailand early next year. The chosen golfers are Mr. Ta Quang Duong, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Khanh, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Nhu.

Golfers in the tournament had the opportunity to win a variety of valuable prizes, notably two Hole-in-One awards worth nearly VND9 billion in total. These awards featured two iconic BMW models: the flagship SAV BMW X7 and the luxury sedan BMW 530i M Sport.

During the tournament, THACO AUTO displayed a range of premium BMW models, including the BMW i4, BMW iX3, BMW 4 Series Convertible, BMW 5 Series, BMW X5, and BMW X7, as well as vehicles from the MINI and BMW Motorrad brands. Attendees had the opportunity to explore and test drive these vehicles, visit various booths, and win valuable prizes through the "Lucky Draw - Spin the Wheel" activity.

At the press conference, Mr. Dam Dinh Thong, THACO AUTO Passenger Car Vice President, announced plans to further develop the BMW golfer community in Vietnam, "With the goal of developing the BMW golfer community in Vietnam, THACO AUTO will continue to enhance the BMW Golf Cup. In the near future, we will launch more engaging events for BMW enthusiasts to connect and share their passion."
