THACO auto sales top Vietnam market in February 2020

This February saw THACO on top with 5,684 units sold (including 1,833 Kia cars, 1,663 Mazda cars, 178 Peugeot cars, 1,960 trucks and 50 buses), up 12% from the previous month. Trucks outnumbered the others thanks to increasing demands from transportation firms after the Lunar New Year. In the Vietnamese market, THACO earned the lion’s share of 34% in February.

VAMA reported February sales of 17,616 vehicles, including 12,471 passenger cars (down 3%), 4,812 commercial vehicles (up 74%) and 333 specialized vehicles (up 49%). Among them, the assembled-in-Vietnam vehicles reached 11,697 units, increasing 22% against January while the CBUs were 5,919, slipping 4%.
