THACO apologizes to customers for Mazda3 error

Final conclusion will be available in the 1st quarter of 2016
In the document sent to press agencies, it was said by THACO that at the end of July 2015, VinaMazda Auto Assembly and Manufacture SMLLC (Vina-Mazda) received feedbacks of some customers about the check-engine warning lights on Mazda3 1.5L model. Right after that, Vina-Mazda contacted and cooperated with Mazda Motor Corporation from Japan and Mazda in the Asia Region to deal with the error.
In August, Mazda Motor Corporation sent their engineers to Vietnam for checking and gathering information; in fact, they collected some inject needles and components of fuel system and the remaining fuel on Mazda3 1.5L cars that have the check-engine warning light error for more study and tests.
Mazda Motor Corporation and Vina-Mazda were committed that the problem of check-engine warning lights does not cause negatively technical impact on the safe operation, damage engine, or lead to other troubles like engine stall and engine block broken.
According to a statistics, up to December, Vina-Mazda has sold 5,400 cars, of which 195 cars have check-engine warning lights, accounting for 3.7%.
Vina-Mazda and Mazda Motor Corporation are urgently testing and analyzing to find causes and remedy. As projected, Mazda Motor Corporation from Japan will release the final conclusion and solutions in the first quarter of 2016.

Many car owners solved the error
While waiting for the official conclusion from Mazda manufacturer from Japan, Vina-Mazda will temporarily deal with the error by using Deposit Cleaner for Mazda3 1.5L cars that encountered the error “check-engine warning lights” free of charge at THACO’s Mazda authorized service stations.
In addition, THACO was committed to being responsible for recovering the check-engine warning light error and expressed their apology to customers.
Furthermore, THACO recommends car owners to refill fuel at prestigious petrol stations and fully comply with manufacturers’ instructions.
In fact, many customers solved the check-engine warning light problem on their cars by temporarily using Deposit Cleaner and obeying THACO’s recommendation. Ms. Pham Thi Ngoc Oanh, one owner of Mazda3 1.5L car in Nghe An said: “The problem occurred when my car ran more than 2,500km; however, after I had my car’s inject needle cleaned free of charge at Mazda dealer and only used A95 petrol at one certain petrol station, the problem has gone, despite the fact that my car runs more than 7,000 km now.”
Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Hang (Hanoi) had the same situation. After having her car’s inject needle cleaned twice, she only refills fuel for her car at one petrol station. Since then, the check-engine warning light error has not appeared though her car runs 6,800km now.
“I bought my car in September and followed all recommendations by the seller, and up to now there is no such error happening to my car. I already knew the information before deciding to buy the car”, said Mr. Do Minh Tam, one of owners of Mazda3 1.5L in Nui Thanh District, Quang Nam Province.
