THACO and HAGL Group celebrates one-year cooperation

THACO signed the agreement with HAGL Group to invest into HAGL Agrico on August 8, 2018. After a year, THACO has put into VND22,194 billion (~ USD1 billion), helping HAGL basically balance its cash flow to focus on the agricultural development.
In terms of farming, HAGL Agrico was able to convert into developing orchards.
In Logistics, THACO has established the value chain for agricultural transport which serves the fruit export.
Holding the 35-percent stake, THACO assisted the partner in restructuring, adding its leaders to the management team of HAGL Agrico.
At the program, HAGL Chairman Doan Nguyen Duc put it, "The cooperation over the past year has gone smoothly, resulting in positive achievements. HAGL Agricio also escaped from its dire straits, entering a new phase of stable development and more success."
Also, the cooperation has not only maintained 30,000 existing employments, but also will create over 60,000 others in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and Myanamar.
On the other hand, THACO Chairman Tran Ba Duong manifested his delight towards the initial success of the cooperation.
Over the year, THACO has made more-than-expected efforts to achieve the best possible results in helping HAGL weather the storm.
Besides, HAGL was able to implement parts of its development strategies in order to grow HAGL Agrico into a large-scaled industrial agri corporation which strictly applies food safety standards, creates tropical fruit value chain, helping Vietnam participate in the global markets.
Accordingly, in the next 10 years, along with other agri counterparts, the group is expected to make leverages for Vietnam to enter top 15 countries having the most developed agri with agri production among the top 10.
