Recently, the two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on recruitment and training cooperation at Tra Vinh University.

The MOU provides an opportunity for interns to experience real-life workplaces and better their employability after graduation. In particular, THACO AGRI will annually receive interns majoring Food Technology, Agriculture, High-tech agriculture, Biotechnology, Veterinary Medicine, Crop Science, Plant Protection, Business Management, Office Administration, Mechanics, English, and Khmer to work in farms in Cambodia and Vietnam.

On behalf of THACO AGRI, Mr. Phan Tiem, the THACO College Director said, "There are more than 40 employees, who were graduates at Tra Vinh University, holding important positions in the company. I highly appreciate the university’s training quality, which accordingly has been providing us with high-quality workforces for the company's development. Furthermore, we also welcome staff members and lecturers from the university for short-term exchanges, and especially interns in the Co-op program."

Assoc. Prof Dr. Diep Thanh Tung, the Deputy Director of Tra Vinh University noted, "This cooperation is a significant milestone in the cooperation between Tra Vinh University and businesses. We believe that with all parties are in, we can improve the quality of the workforce to meet the requirements of the labor market."

The Co-op training program at Tra Vinh University upholds close collaboration between itself and businesses, including the admissions counseling stage. In the cooperation, the school introduces the firm's business activities, in this case, THACO AGRI's and provides counseling for senior students who are looking for jobs. Its Cambodian students working in THACO AGRI complexes in Cambodia with good communication skills will help to give working instructions to other Cambodians. In the near future, the school plans to organize long-term internships (10 - 12 months) at THACO AGRI’s complexes in Cambodia.
