In the evening of 9 June, Festival Opening ceremony was organized at Tam Thanh beach Square, Tam Ky City. On behalf of THACO, Mr Pham Van Tai - Permanent Deputy General Director attended the event.

Quang Nam Heritage Festival is annual event of culture, sports, and economy with increasing scale. This year festival includes 22 events in Tam Ky, Hoi An, My Son Relics, etc. and the provincial localities. There were many remarkable activities, namely: International choir competition with 1,500 artists from 15 countries and territories; International Kite Festival; 1st Open Kayak Race; especially Open Vietnam Ship race and World Sailing Champion League...The festival is spread to other areas, the local people will be welcoming the guests.

Also during the festival, there were commercial and tourism promotion activities including Central - Central Highland Tourism Forum; Tourism Investment Promotion Convention; Conference of Preservation and Promotion of heritage urban, 2017 Quang Nam Heritage Festival Fair, ...

Along with the celebration of cultural values by means of the effects and impressions from the festivals, Quang Nam typical cultural activities, the Festival is also the chance to promote the image of Quang Nam, Vietnam to national and international friends to develop tourism and investment, focus on tourism towards the south, and promote such activities towards the sea.
