Strategic trilateral cooperation meeting among THACO - Weichai - Orient
At the seminar, 3 sides reviewed the cooperation of selling Weichai and Yangchai engines, while discussing business strategies for vehicles using Weichai engines in 2016 - 2018. Accordingly, over 10 years of cooperation (2005 - 2015), THACO has sold 17,006 commercial vehicles (trucks & buses) using Weichai and Yangchai (a subsidiary of Weichai) engines. In 2016 plan, THACO is expected to sell about 10,000 cars using Weichai and Yangchai engines (especially Ollin500 and Ollin700 truck lines, the vehicles use more than 6,000 Yangchai engines).
Weichai said: Previouslypreviously, the company focused on developing the engines with a capacity of 5 L - 12 L with 6 cylinders, now the current lineup engines have been fully developed from 2.1 L to 13 L with emission standards from Euro 2 to Euro 6, which meet the needs of the customer usageuse as well as requirements for environmental protection. Weichai will support THACO 2 free Weichai engines for training activities, and support 30 engine error diagnostic apparatus; while continuing to provide 3 free engine filter in the first year for Weichai engines used in buses for service operations and customer service quality improvement.
