THACO INDUSTRIES Trailers and Heavy Steel Structures Manufacturing Co. Ltd, aka Thaco Trailers began operations in 2022 with a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Southeast Asia. The plant has an annual capacity of 30,000 units and features a fully integrated production process, from machining, welding, coating, assembly to testing. The plant utilizes advanced laser cutting technology for precise trailer components and skeletons. Its welding line features automated systems, including robots with up to 2,200-milimeter arm reach, to ensure high-quality and aesthetically pleasing welds. Following the welding process, the trailer’s chassis frame undergoes a rigorous cleaning and coating treatment. It's first blast cleaned to SA-2.5 standards and then dipped in a powder coating bath in a tank that could take up 17-meter-long vehicles. Finally, automated robots apply a smooth and durable powder coat finish. The trailers are assembled using a state-of-the-art automated Monorail line equipped with AGV technology. Rigorous quality checks are conducted at every stage, including braking force tests, comprehensive tests and road trials under various conditions.

Reaching out to the world market

Thaco Trailers began exporting its products to the US in 2020, following extensive research and development. Positive feedback led to continuous improvements and product diversification. Thaco Trailers has since expanded its market presence in North America, i.e. Canada and Mexico and other regions such as Australia, Japan or South Korea, exporting over 13,000 trailers since 2020.
