National assessment of the Science and Technology project "Thermoplastic interior manufacture for sleeper buses"
After one year of implementation (March 2015 - April 2016), the project has achieved its objectives: the company mastersed and developeds the technology process and manufactured thermoplastic furniture products in injection molding technology, thermal imaging and complex film, which are applied well on THACO high-end sleeper passenger cars. The main products of the topic include interior plastic parts for sleeper buses; product manufacturing lines, equipment and process kit; the corresponding design documents for 3 technologies.
The results of the research will be used to pilot production project for the national-level Science and Technology project "Designing and manufacturing Vietnamese high-end sleeper passenger cars", in which plastic components with high conductivity will create favorable conditions for production,. It will also helping to improve productivity and lower product costs. In particular, thermal imaging and complex film technologies are the first to be used in the manufacture of automotive components - spare parts in Vietnam. Besides, THACO also has plans to build a mold factory for the automotive industry at the Complex. The plant will help THACO to master the automotive component - spare part technologies and design; contribute to improve the localization rate; and increase competitiveness towards integration.
