Mazda senior leaders wish “good luck” to THACO’s future targets
The group was led by Mr. Masatoshi Maruyama – Managing Executive Officer, and Mr. Hiroshi Inoue - General Manager of ASEAN Business Office.

During this visit, the delegation had talks with THACO Chairman Tran Ba Duong and spent time seeing production activities at THACO Mazda Plant.

The guests also toured production lines at factories in Chu Lai Complex, especially those at THACO Mazda, including workshops for weldingpainting and assembly. The Mazda executives directly inspected the production activities of Mazda 3, Mazda 6, New CX-5, and checked the quality of finished vehicles.

In particular, to celebrate the sustainable development of THACO Mazda plant in particular and THACO in general, leaders of Mazda and THACO conducted the Daruma ceremony - a Japanese traditional ritual which means "Wishes will come true".




At the ceremony, leaders of THACO, Chu Lai Complex, managers, engineers and workers of THACO Mazda plant showed their determination to improve the quality of the plant’s production, comply with Mazda Japan product quality standards, and achieve the target of 22 vehicles per hour, equivalent to 50,000 vehicles per year in the first phase.



After nearly 6 months’ operation, THACO Mazda Plant is positioned as the most modern Mazda car manufacturing factory in Southeast Asia which has now started to take its firm step. Speaking at the event, Mr. Masatoshi Maruyama and THACO Chairman Tran Ba Duong emphasized that leaders, engineers and workers paid close attention to production management and product quality. Mr. Duong said that car production is an art which requires dedication, responsibility and emotions in every stage of production to make each car a special masterpiece. Mazda cars ought to fully bear the Kodo design language and SkyActiv technology, and be considered not only for the specs but also for the driving experience and pleasure of the customers.
