KIA adjusts promotions in January 2017
According to the new incentives announced, most of KIA cars in Vietnam will have their incentives reduced in January 2017, including Sedona (the best-selling big-sized MPV in Vietnam) with the highest drop in promotion of 20 million VND, Sorento 15 million VND, Rondo and Cerato down 10 million VND; Morning, Rio 5 million VND. The 5-door Kia Cerato, Soul, Koup and Quoris remain their promotion in December 2016. KIA's current highest promotion in December 2016 is 127 million VND (for Sedona models).

Explaining the promotion cuts since January 2017, THACO KIA representative said, though undesirable, the company is forced to cut promotions, even with the best-selling models to balance its manufacture and business operations.
According to genuine KIA agents, with new policies that THACO has announced, consumers in December will have the best deals. Currently, the majority of agents will encourage customers to deposit a part to import the cars prior to the 01/01/2017. However, this depends on the financial resources of each agent.
Currently, KIA brand of South Korea is the top choice for Vietnam consumers. In 2016, the sales of KIA vehicles in Vietnam are expected to reach 33,000 vehicles, up more than 50% over the same period last year and a new record in the 9 years of KIA in Vietnam.
